Scaravelli Yoga for Teachers
This workshop is an introduction to a yoga practice as developed by Vanda Scaravelli. The Scaravelli approach has become increasingly popular over the years amongst Yoga teachers. Many yoga teachers who have trained in various styles of yoga are now attending workshops to learn the principles of Scaravelli style yoga to incorporate this intelligent and thoughtful approach into their own yoga teaching and into their personal yoga practice.
In this workshop you will have the opportunity to understand Vanda’s principles and approach as well as practice with a yoga teacher who is an experienced teacher trainer who has been working in this way for more than 25 years. Includes light refreshment.

This class will introduce the ancient chanting practices from India that are part of a yogic tradition. In India, yoga practice is opened and closed with a chant. This practice helps us to release blocked emotions, to allow us to surrender to a higher entity enabling a release of the ego. The universe is vibration in one form or the other. The things that we see and experience in our daily lives are all vibrations in some way.
Chanting is resonating vibration and it is believed that the practice of chanting enables us to harmonise with the universe. Chanting can stimulate the process of healing through the power of sound, acting on the body at a subtle level. It is a practice that has to be experienced. Our practice will include a soothing Ayurvedic drink.
