This day retreat is focused on rest, relaxation & rejuvenation. You will experience how taking the time to rest well can profoundly affect healing mental, physical and emotional well-being. The practice of yoga in its many teachings can help us to find balance in our often hectic and busy lives. We will look at how this can and often does affect our health over time.
With Proper Rest being one of the five pillars of yoga, you will learn principles and practice techniques to help let go of stress, anxiety and overwhelm. This will include asana and pranayama practice, guided relaxation, and meditation.
By the end of the day, you will have experienced how vital deep rest is and you will have learned some simple, techniques to practise at home to keep you less stressed, rested, and full of vitality!
A delicious and nutritious light vegetarian lunch is included, followed by afternoon tea and homemade cake later in the afternoon. There may also be time for a gentle walk after lunch to explore the Stone Circle at this special location. Please bring suitable clothing and footwear for our walk.
