Whether you are new to yoga or a dedicated yogi with a regular practice, my yoga workshops give you an opportunity to invest time in discovering and developing your yoga practice through a variety of inspiring workshops and courses.

Perhaps you would like to explore something new, develop specific areas of your practice or simply take time out for yourself, my courses and workshops are a great way of immersing yourself in yoga to deepen your practice.

There are a variety of workshops available that offer a gentle and intelligent approach to the practise of yoga using yoga asana (poses), pranayama (breathing techniques), relaxation, meditation and mantra to help develop your understanding and practice of yoga and ultimately enhance your overall wellbeing.

Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced yogi, there is something to suit all levels of experience and ability and a variety of interests and themes to choose from.

Yoga for Beginners

Be inspired and get the yoga habit learning the basics in a friendly and supportive environment.

If you are completely new to yoga, curious about yoga and would like to try it, but perhaps feel a little intimidated to join a class then this is the workshop for you! Yoga for Beginners is the perfect place to kick-start your practice, be inspired and get the yoga habit.

Yoga for Beginners will introduce you to the essentials of yoga. We will cover the basic postures (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama), meditation and relaxation as well as learning the origins of yoga and the therapeutic benefits of the practice. You will be taught through clear instruction and demonstration at a comfortable pace as I guide and support you to develop good technique, alignment and understanding, helping you build confidence in your practise.

This workshop will help you to establish a strong and safe foundation from which you can confidently progress onto my other courses and workshops.

Although designed for the complete beginner, you are welcome to join if you are out of practice and would like to revisit the fundamentals of yoga.

Therapeutic Yoga for Backs, Necks & Shoulders

Reduce back, neck and shoulder pain by strengthening back muscles, increasing spinal flexibility, reducing stiffness and improving joint mobility.

Therapeutic Yoga helps to address a whole spectrum of ailments, improve pain, aid recovery and injury, increase vitality and enhance overall health as part of a maintenance programme for health and wellbeing. This yoga workshop will focus on a programme of postures specifically designed to address back, neck and shoulder stiffness, pain and mobility problems. Breathing and relaxation techniques are also covered to help improve breathing patterns, calm the mind and enhance health generally.

Yoga for Spring

Wake up to spring!

Spring has sprung. It’s time to cleanse, clear out and detoxify. Shake off the winter blues and welcome spring after the long winter of darkness.

In this yoga workshop we will focus on raising our energy with a practice that is invigorating, detoxifying and uplifting helping us to feel more awake and alive. Experience a morning session that will include breathing techniques to cleanse, asana to detoxify and energise opening us up to the new season.

We will complete our session with a lovely yoga nidra practice guiding us into a profound and deep relaxation.

Take time out to energise and re-charge after the long winter hibernation and put a ‘spring’ in your step!

Think yoga is just for women? Think again. If you have wanted to give yoga a try this workshop will introduce
you to the many benefits of yoga practice.

Yoga is the ultimate system to improve your health and life-style. With Yoga you develop strength and flexibility, improve stamina and endurance. Yoga practice is also a great way to complement many of your other sporting activities, whether you run, cycle or play football, yoga works your body and mind in a way that other activities just don’t reach.

In addition did you know that it also helps to reduce stress and anxiety, ease aches and pains and calm and relax the mind and body? It gives you the ability to deal with the pressures of today’s hectic world – and provides a space in time for you to de-stress your body and mind.

Teen Yoga

Yoga gives teens the mental break that they need. A yoga class is the perfect pause in their hectic world!

Teenagers are busy people often stretched in many directions between school, sports, extra-curricular activities and their social lives. Yoga gives teens the mental break that they need. A yoga class is the perfect pause in their hectic world!

Yoga classes designed specifically for teenagers provide a supportive environment where young people can build strength, flexibility, confidence and inner peace. Teen Yoga not only strengthens a teenager’s physiological changes, but also supports the emotional and hormonal changes that can bring confusion and stress.

Yoga can help teenagers manage the physical and emotional changes during this stage of their life, focusing on self-acceptance, self-awareness, personal strength and positive attitudes. Yoga supports the immune, respiratory, circulatory systems, improves co-ordination and balance, improves sleep patterns and teaches teenagers how to relax.
